Epoxy resin food finish?

What finish You recommend for platter . I would like to use knife ...fork etc when i am eating from platter ...would epoxy be a good choice?

Epoxy resin is chemical based... if you don't mind eating traces of chemicals then all is well!

If you want a food safe wood finish then walnut or mineral oils are safe and are drying oils in that after a few hours from application the oil is absorbed and the surface is dry.
