We are out helping a friend from Qualicum by sitting her house while she can't be here. While out here, I would love to get some Yew planks, sufficient to make a medium sized box and perhaps some Madrone for knick knacks. I would also be able to arrange a swap for some Caragana which grows in abundance as hedge rows on the farm sites around Calgary. I can get it up to about 3" and it yields a lovely tan wood with a purple/brown pattern in it when sliced thinly. It's excellent for banding and veneering.
