food safe oil for light coloured wood

Hello there,

I have a pair of pale coloured wooden salad servers and would like to know what oil I could use to care for them that wouldn't change the colour. Can you recommend one? I have heard that grapeseed oil is good but I'm not sure and am having trouble finding it anyway.

Walnut oil is good... it will enrich it a bit as it is pale yellow. Get it at any good health food store. If you want a clear oil then get mineral oil at your pharmacy. Both are food safe oils.
