I have made a smoking pipe and want it to be safe

I have made a smoking pipe and need to seal the inside of the item but I want it to be safe to use but sealed so it can be cleaned, suggestions?

Check out hackert"s pipe store on EBAY go to tobocacana collectables .He is a close friend and makes some awesome smoking pipes ,can send you in right direction,A charcoal base coat can be rubbed in bowl until you've built up your pack. Tell him BONZ sent ya.
