Is Walnut oil a safe finish for wood?
I want to gift a wooden chalice to a priest, I finished it with 100% pure walnut oil. It dried nicely, and I want to know is it safe to drink wine from it, or should it just be decoration.

Walnut oil is certainly considered a food safe wood finish. Walnut oil is often used in southern Europe as a salad dressing!
