Mould on a wooden fruit bowl

Is I there any way to remove mould stains from a wooden fruit bowl please? I have tried rubbing with lemon juice and salt, then putting out in the sun, but am worried about other bleaching methods. Your advice to others seems to be very helpful and I will use walnut oil to finish as you have suggested several times if I can only get rid of the black mould spots.

Ron here...

You could try some vinegar but bleach could leave marks and will not be perfect.

You can also try sanding it... depends how deep it goes.

It's wood and wood ages. Just like us!
