preserving the red color

Would you be so kind as to tell me how to preserve the red color of the Manzanita branches?

I must "trim" some of the Manzanita on my property and know it is desired if the branches are the red color. The ones that dry on the shrub go grey.
I do hope to sell some but it will not be a lot as I do not want to ruin the living.

If you cut it red and keep it out of the weather as it dries, you should be fine. Add some walnut oil to the outside too when it starts to dry and see if that helps too.
