Start one Arbutus tree from a seed?

I live in a condo and want to grow an arbutus in a pot on my deck. Is this possible? I am south facing, one block off the beach. Thanks.

Possible yes, but may be easier to buy a seedling. Always keep it facing the same way. Mark your pot so you are always sure.
